Limp Mode 2006 SRT8. I have a 2006 SRT8 with 87,000 miles. Occasionally at high speed it has gone into limp mode for only a few seconds, and then corrected itself. Check engine light does not come on. Yesterday it went into limp mode at low speed and stayed that way until I stopped and restarted the ignition. It drove normally after that, as if
the srt is much faster, less off road, and more expensive. driving on a beach is not extreme offroading. any jeep will do it. I like my v8 overland. Will probably get another one in 2017. or an SRT, I don't know, I prefer the off road capacity to faster on road. 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland V8, QD, QL.

a larger throttle body will give you a modest HP gain if done correctly. I just put the MMX ported intake and 87mm TB on my rig and got a 16hp increase to the wheels on the first tune. Not too bad. I have been able to boost my overall HP output almost 100HP with simple mods and no engine work like a cam or head work.
The 8.8 is a C-clip axle, if you break an axle shaft, the only thing holding the axle in is the brake caliper on the rotor, if it happens get side loaded, you now have to replace the broken axle shaft, and a broken rotor or caliper bracket as well. The 8.8 is also a heavy beotch. Same with the Dana 60.

High flows are a great option. One huge benefit is that you don't have to deal with the reprogram required for cat-less designs. By going to the high flow, you will have the before-after O2's in place. You will still benefit from a custom tune, but you won't have to go through the O2 delete, which is a huge pain.

Our 6.1 Hemis idle a little rough compared to most engines. The idle also varies a bit in RPM especially when cold but 200-300 RPM variation we do not get, maybe 100 RPM at most. 2015 Challenger Hellcat - delivered to dealer 10/8/15, 395 days after order :thefinger: 2010 GC SRT8. 2009 Challenger SRT8 - gone!

No wonder they got flexible. I think they're going to have a hard time selling a base SRT8. Without the $3,100 SRT Option Group I package, there are a number of convenience items missing from a $40,000 vehicle. Such as:Sunroof, Air Conditioning ATC with Dual Zone Control,Driver's Automatic-Dimming Exterior MirrorBright Pedals, Deluxe Door Trim Panel, Heated Front SeatsParkSense(TM) Rear Park Assist System, Power Adjustable Pedals with Memory, Power Sunroof, Power Front Seats with Driver Seat Memory, Power Heated Fold-Away Mirrors with Memory, Memory for Radio, Driver Seat and MirrorsRain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers, Front and Rear Side-Curtain Air Bags**, SIRIUS Satellite Digital Radio w/one year free service, SmartBeam(TM) Headlamps, Supplemental Side Air Bags**, UConnect(TM) Hands-Free Communication,If that vehicle is really a base unit, I think that they're going to have trouble moving it.
Alas...the Hemi gods have not yet deemed me worthy...I got a message today from my dealer (AFTER I sent him a message asking about it!) that NOW they think it'll be ready FRIDAY!SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It appears that there was some alignment problem with the sunroof that they noticed, there was a bent part or something, so they ordered another part, and he thinks it'll be ready for pickup on friday now. I just can't believe this whole for the tips, some good info there - now I just hope I can remember it all on FRIDAY...HOPEFULLY FRIDAY!!!!! and mine is black also - but ours will be out in the parking lot, since they'll have OTHER srt8's on the track for us to trash - ahem, I mean drive... maybe I'll just walk around saying "anyone here post on Edmunds?" Boy, I can't believe this. I'm glad my wife already verified the vehicle is there. And I guess I'm glad they found this before I took it home - though I pray that the sunroof hasn't been leaking all this time......And don't worry, I do plan to honor the breakin period...since it's only 300 miles...though my philosophy is usually to break it in the way it's going to be driven!! But I'll wait this time, I am wondering about the attention factor, do people really notice that it's something different? I have yet to see one on the road myself, believe it or not!! I figured at least when I'm blowing away those kids in the mustang gt's that they'll notice...
